Blog Action Day 2007

Blog Action Day

I am proud to announce that Gather Little By Little and the other M-Network blogs will be participating in Blog Action Day on October 15th.

Blog Action Day will unite thousands of blog voices all talking about one issue: the environment.  Personal Finance blogs including Financial Dominance, Gather Little By Little, I’ve Paid For This Twice, MoolanomyPlonkee Money, Get Rich Slowly, and The Simple Dollar will be participating.

From the official press release:

Received My Sharebuilder Bonus!

About a month ago, I wrote about two “free money” offers. I received the $50 bonus from Sharebuilder on Friday and transferred it to my checking account. Once it arrives, it will be promptly transferred to pay on my Chase Card.

The Hustler $$$ Blog posted about another one this week. Seems to be the real deal, so for a $1 investment and a 30 day wait, you get $50. Going to keep my $1 stock there, just to see what happens ;-)

Still waiting on the $100 from Citibank…should be soon though.

The Friday Gathering for 8/17/2007

Time for another gathering of the glblguy’s favorite articles/postings from the M-Network and the PF Blog Community. Oh yeah, this reminds me…glblguy…not I’m not the “Global guy”, I’m the “Gather Little By Little Guy”. Just wanted to clear that up :-)

Key Steps You Can Take Now To Get Out of Debt

Picture of Garden Steps
Romans 13:8 – Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for he who loves his fellowman has fulfilled the law.

Let’s face it, getting out of debt requires a great deal more time and effort to get out of debt than it does to get into debt. Getting out of debt is not an easy or quick process. To be honest, it seems to take forever and it’s hard…real hard.

7 Helpful Tips When Moving

Moving

Our neighbors for the past 5 or so years moved last weekend. They wanted to be closer to their family. While we completely understood why they wanted and needed to move, we really hated to see them go. We had watched their son and twin daughters grow over the years and had become very close to them. We miss them already.

Moving is tough, both physically and emotionally. Here are 7 tips to make moving a little easier and make a stressful activity less stressful:

1 – Pack Early!

What is the Dow Jones Industrial Average?

This is a guest post by Bill G. Page. He is the author of Making Money Work: A Christian Guide For Personal Finance.

We're a Founding Member of the M-Network!

As I have mentioned before, through blogging I have had the opportunity to meet and talk with tons of people I would have never met otherwise. As a result of this, a few us personal finance bloggers, thanks to the efforts of Pinyo, decided to form the M-Network.

You can read about the M-Network by visiting the main page, but it’s basically a network of like minded personal finance bloggers. The benefit to you the reader is a high quality single RSS feed for all blogs part of the M-Network. Don’t know what RSS is? Please visit my RSS info page to find out more about RSS.

Opps! Partial RSS Feed Returned to Full Feed

I implemented a new plugin this morning to show post summaries on my main page. I did this to keep it from being so long and allow new visitors to see more of my content on the main page.

What I didn’t realize was that this same plugin made my RSS Feed a partial feed. I am not an advocate of partial feeds, and my sincere apologies to those of you that may have seen this. Just hope none of you unsubscribed as a result…if you did, hopefully you’ll forgive me.

Frugal Wealth Building – How To Build Your Wealth Cheaply

Treasure Wealth

2 Chronicles 1:11-12 God said to Solomon, “Since this is your heart’s desire and you have not asked for wealth, riches or honor, nor for the death of your enemies, and since you have not asked for a long life but for wisdom and knowledge to govern my people over whom I have made you king, therefore wisdom and knowledge will be given you. And I will also give you wealth, riches and honor, such as no king who was before you ever had and none after you will have.”
