I always have a hard time adjusting to the daylight savings time but I find that getting my daughter in bed when it’s still light out is ‘very’ troublesome!

As today is Veterans Day, I just wanted to let everybody know that there are 131,000 homeless Veterans in America today. This is unacceptable to me, and I hope people spread the word to raise awareness!

Move to Arizona! Most of Arizona does not do the DST. As stated, there is no ‘savings’ of daylight, it just moves it evening to morning.

It was originally touted as energy savings and I would be interested to see if anyone proved that it did or did not save energy.

Seth is right…. what would be happening is that you would be driving home in the dark a lot longer than you do now…personally i wish we could just stay on DST all year. that way we could drive home in the light longer, plus our internal clocks would not have to go thru that infernal shift 2x a year! ugh. the older i get the more i dislike it.

I’m afraid you’d still have to drive home in the dark at 5:00 pm if there were no daylight savings time (if I understood you correctly). The savings is during the summer to get less sunlight in the mornings an more in the evenings… that said, I too think it is dumb and unnecessary (my internal schedule has really been messed up this week).

Thanks for hosting this giveaway, I’m so excited for the book, and will definitely put some of those frugal comments to use. Its always good to read about others who try to be concious of their spending as well…although I think I’ll continue to use my turn signal in the car!
