I started my kids young - even when they were in elementary school, we gave them a budget to "live" on (they can use the allowance to buy books, toys, whatever) and if they ran out, they ran out! If their entire allowance goes to fees - I guess someone needs to grow up and show some financial maturity and self control. Sorry, I know that sounds harsh but as a parent I feel it's our job to raise our children to be responsible - I love my children but I'm not going to continue to support them if they act irresponsibly.
