I wouldn’t agree with going the extra mile. Because it will eat you alive if you get terminated after the fact. Be reliable, dependable, and stretch a little, don’t go for that mile, but maybe a few extra steps, if any.

If you over reach, you might stay employed but then it will become expected of you always, and you may end up hating your job.

The first one, Getting Letters of Recommendation, is extrememly powerful. Most people fail to do it– so you will definitely stand out!
