The quote from the bible “the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil” is often misquoted as “Money is the root of all kinds of evil”. As you rightly pointed out, it is not the money, it is the value we place on it that is the root cause. I’m a Hindu and not a Christian but the quote (and many other quotes from the bible) has a universal appeal and not just limited to Christianity. Also, determining ones values and goals should be the first step in personal and financial peace.

since he has no desire to get wisdom?” So many people don’t even realize that making money isn’t necessarily the hard part, its knowing what to do with it that most fail at.

Well said and a good reminder. If we gain the world and lose our soul what good is the money?

My experience tells me that we have to watchful not to allow money become our G-d. This is a daily struggle but a worthy one.
