I’m with you. I never understood the whole party thing for New Years. It’s just an arbitrary date, as far as I’m concerned. But, this year, New Years was actually instructive for me, as I discovered what an old fart I am: I was glad to be spending the New Year in our RV on the West coast, so that we could watch the East coast feed, feel we got some celebrating in, but still get to bed by 9.

GLBL,
I am kinda with you on the whole new year resolution thing. On one hand I agree it is just another day and like you said, the best time to change something is when you realize you need to, not at the turn of a calendar page… That said, for whatever reason, my brain seems to organize things in chunks, I think in terms of days, weeks, months and years. So I set goals for each – I don’t know it seems to help me out anyway!

I understand what you’re saying about New Years Resolutions, but I think the beginning of the year is a great time to set goals. Its good to be able to look over the last year and see what you acoomplished and then look ahead to what you hope to accomplish in the years ahead. New Years to me is a time to reflect on the past, and a time to dream of the future.

Thanks GLBL, appreciate the mention. I am with you on the New Years, but I guess if it gets at least one person to clean up their act, then it is a good thing. I always think of things I want to accomplish, but very rarely do I get to all of them!
