The only way you will survive is if you truly enjoying writing about the topic on your blog. I can imagine myself writing about personal finance for free. Even if I do not make any money from my blog I will be happy if I can get some enticing conversations going under the comments part of my blog. At least this way I will learn a lot from my readers and blogging will become a learning experience. That's just me though. I am a new blogger and I can attest to the fact that it is not easy money.
