I love those sites because you get to build a webpage on anything you want, get some generic traffic from those sites and make a little money. It's where I've learned much of what I know---besides learning from some friends who were kind enough to give me tips. My suggestion for people reading over there is to only read what you think you can handle at the time. If nothing makes sense, read it when you've learned more.
