And they say credit card companies are "evil" ... I don't buy it!

I recently wrote about this — we had about $100 in fees add up for the first time ever.

And they say credit card companies are “evil” … I don’t buy it!

By: Zombie Money

Ugh, we just made a late payment to one of our accounts this week, too. I think it occurred from some mis-communication between husband I. It wasn't a credit card payment and it doesn't look like we got hit with a late payment, but still...
Then, one of our CC companies kept calling us. I logged on to our account and discovered that way back in June, AFTER we had paid off our entire balance (the payoff amount), they added a couple of finance charges on our account. We made the mistake of not logging in the following month to make sure everything was at $0, so we've now been hit with a late charge or two and it's most likely dinged hubby's credit score. He's going to call them today or tomorrow and see what he can work out with them.
Lessons learned - check your accounts more often and make sure you know who's paying the bills each month!
That was pretty great of your CC company to give you the rate back, though, AND add your other balance to that rate!

Ugh, we just made a late payment to one of our accounts this week, too.
