I think it occurred from some mis-communication between husband I. It wasn't a credit card payment and it doesn't look like we got hit with a late payment, but still... Then, one of our CC companies kept calling us. I logged on to our account and discovered that way back in June, AFTER we had paid off our entire balance (the payoff amount), they added a couple of finance charges on our account. We made the mistake of not logging in the following month to make sure everything was at $0, so we've now been hit with a late charge or two and it's most likely dinged hubby's credit score. He's going to call them today or tomorrow and see what he can work out with them. Lessons learned - check your accounts more often and make sure you know who's paying the bills each month!
