Following Gather Little by Little
I am continually amazed at the growth I’ve experienced here on Gather Little by Little. Each day it seem like I receive a comment or email from someone that says something like “Hi, just found your blog…” or “First time visiting and love the site”. I love getting those types of communications. As I’ve said before, my intention with starting Gather Little by Little was to make a difference in people’s lives. Hopefully, the more readers I get, the bigger the positive impact I can have.
Since I’ve had such growth, I thought I might take a few minutes and share with you the different ways you can read Gather Little by Little, along with some ways to share my content with others.
Here are just a few ways you can follow my writing:
- Bookmark the site – Many readers use their browser’s bookmark or favorites feature to save the site. Using this bookmark, they manually visit the site daily. Some may also make it their homepage. Ok, maybe not, but I can hope right?
- RSS Feed – In my opinion, this is the best way to read Gather Little by Little. RSS allows you to automatically receive updates to Gather Little by Little when you subscribe to the RSS feed. The updates are sent to an RSS Reader that you such as Google Reader (my favorite), iGoogle, MyYahoo, Bloglines, and many many more. When you access your feed reader, all of your feeds are displayed in one central place. Currently more than 1400 people subscribe this way and automatically receive updates. You can read more about RSS and exactly how to subscribe in my article What is RSS and how do I read it? Give it a try, I think you’ll like it.
- Email - Don’t care for the idea of using RSS? No problem. You can get updates to Gather Little by Little sent straight to your mailbox. Signing up is simple, just enter your email address and then visit your inbox to confirm your subscription. Don’t worry, you can unsubscribe whenever you would like and you have my word I won’t use your email address for any other purpose nor will it be disclosed to anyone else. I take your privacy seriously.
- Social Bookmarking – Another way of keeping track of my latest posts is via social bookmarking. This way is fairly new, but is very quickly growing in popularity. At the bottom of each of my posts, you’ll notice a button that says Bookmark. When you move your cursor over this button, a drop down appears displaying the various social bookmarking sites available to you. The big ones are: Digg, MySpace, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Facebook and Del.icio.us. Next to the Booksmarks button, you’ll also see a blue icon next to it that says “PF Buzz”. PF Buzz is a social bookmarking and promotion site specific to the personal finance community. Personally, I use PFBuzz, StumbleUpon and Del.icio.us. The great thing about social bookmarking is that you not only save your links for future reference, but you share them with others as well.
