Nothing beats being with family on fathers day, it's always difficult trying to juggle a busy work routine with family live. Hope you have a great time in the mountains.

I sure hope absence makes the heart grow fonder, I'm only a few days into my four month separation from my husband and I'm hating it so far. I completely understand what you mean, too - It's just too weird being home when he's not and I terribly miss having someone to eat dinner with and ask me how my day was. All I get is a cat that meows too much because I haven't been home all day and he wants some attention/water/love/petting time/playing time.

At the very least, the absence definitely reminds you to be thankful for the time you *do* have together. It's reminded me of all the time that we had before he left that I took for granted while I had it. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who enjoys spending time with my family more than having it all to myself. :)

Sometimes we don't miss family until they are missing for a few days. Makes them more appreciated when they return.
