My husband works as a contractor and is currently building a new weekend home for one of our customer. Said customer offered us a rent-with-option situation on his current weekend home and it's been a whirlwind ever since. I know that we can more than afford a mortgage on the asking price in 2 years, but I still lose sleep over the idea of spending $340k on a house that's only big enough to last us a few years. I've always wanted to own a home, but now that we're really getting into it, it's terrifying! Good to know that I'm normal!
