Awesome post. I happened upon your website while looking for info on the stimulus checks and found my way here. God must be pointing my mouse for me today because I think that was just what I needed to hear today.

Fantastic post. But, it's hard to be hopeful knowing that the US government is incapable of managing an immoral people.

The US government was created with the assumption of a moral people, with limited government, resulting in high productivity - which allowed us to become the most prosperous nation in the world.

The US government was not designed to manage an immoral people, because the legal system prevents the government from stopping people from doing bad things. The power is with the people and as people turn from God they create more laws that justify evil and allow it to become normal behavior. It's hard to break the cycle because as time goes on, laws are hard to change and everyone must obide by the laws. (like Roe vs. Vade) What will it take to turn America back to God? It's not encouraging to read through history about what happens to nations when God's patience runs out.

I always heard to keep my life simple, but now I'm just starting to understand it. It's not a matter of living cheap. It's about freeing yourself from things that drain your time and spend time assisting those in real need. Put spiritual things first and you'll enjoy life much more.

Thanks for your comments, everyone. Laura, don't even get me started on materialism. I have another great sermon on that one that I may pass Gibble's way, too. :)

Wow. Very well put. America's (as many other countries) most prominent 'god' is money. Even I have been guilty of this before. Very good post.
