The Friday Gathering For 4/25/2008

For the first time in quit a few weeks I really struggled with what to write for this section. I usually write about something exciting or interesting in my personal life, some major news topic, or about my “real job”. This week though, nothing really happened all that interesting. To be honest though, this is a good thing. We’ve been spending a great deal of time outside as a familyglb working in our yard, playing basketball, throwing the football and just enjoying the wonderful weather here in the Carolinas.
About the only real interesting thing I have to share is that we’re still waiting on that house we found. Two offers have been made against it, one Fannie Mae declined, the other was made just two days ago is still pending. Once those are gone, I’ll have some estimates done along with an inspection and then we’ll decide if we want to make an offer. We’re being smart about this and leaving it in God’s hands. If it works out great, if not, another one will come along.
Important Stuff
- Please keep Pete from Bible Money Matters and his wife in your thoughts and prayers. His wife has a very large blood clot in her leg. She is a great deal of pain and in the hospital.
- Seems I won a contest! Kacie from Sense to Save held a huge Entrecard contest and while I was the grand prize winner, I did win 248 Entrecard credits under the Men’s Interest category!

Keep us posted on the house! Isn’t it nice sometimes to not have to have anything to think about… gives your mind a little break. Thanks for the mention.

Thanks for the mention, and good luck on the housing situation. And we will definitely keep Pete’s family in our prayers.

Thanks for including me, Gibble. And you’re right, another house will come along, maybe not tomorrow but at some point.

Skip the BMW and hope for the best with the house – one will appreciate, the other depreciate – quickly. What kind of interest rates are you looking at for the house? This seems to be the best of times and the worst of times in housing.

I completely missed that contest. I am glad you won something. Also, I hope Pete’s wife recover soon. It sounds very scary…

Hope things go well with the house offers, any update yet?
I especially loved The Simple Dollar – The Things Money Cant Buy
I find that trent writes so clearly and easily, I wish I had that skill.
