I hope everyone had a wonderful and joyful Thanksgiving! I also hope those of you that braved Black Friday found some great deals and stayed within your budgets! I also hope those of you that did venture out early this morning get plenty of rest this weekend!
A yearly tradition with my wife and I is to head out early on black Friday. We enjoy the time together and the adventure. Unfortunately we didn’t have a traditional Thanksgiving or Black Friday this year. My wife has been fighting a kidney stone for about 3 weeks and on Wednesday she had surgery to have it removed. Needless to say she has been is a great deal of discomfort and not feeling too great. So we stayed at home both days. She does seem to feeling a bit better this evening though.
On one hand, we missed doing our traditional Thanksgiving and Black Friday shopping, but on the other hand it was really nice to just stay at home and not get caught up in all of the chaos.

I’ll pray for a speedy recovery for your wife! My wife and I traveled instead of shopping, but we wouldn’t have gone shopping anyway. ;)

You’re welcome all, and thanks for your thoughts and prayers for my wife.
No, that’s not a picture of my wife. That’s actually a picture I found out of Flikr of a young girl sleeping after shopping all day on Black Friday with her mom. I just thought it was cute.
Matthew, you’re right, she would kill me for posting her picture like that :-)

Thanks so much for the mention!! I wish your wife a quick recovery! Though I’ve never had a kidney stone, I’ve had a few medical situations myself that I wouldn’t wish on anyone! Take care and wish you both well.
